It can be a bit intimidating, but one hour of practice can really make you more confident when driving. It’s good to know that something like a flat tire is not going to reduce you to panic and helplessness. If you are physically capable of driving, you are probably capable of changing a tire, but many people never get around to learning this simple and practical skill. For many people, what should have been a ten minute task becomes two hours of waiting for a tow truck or roadside assistance service, and possibly paying out a good deal of cash. It’s sometimes necessary to call for help, but it’s far better to be able to do it yourself and get back on the road.
