Good Samaritan Guidelines

Millions of people around the world live by the code of the Bible, which teaches us how to think, act, and believe in a way that is in line with God’s plan. Some say to Give without remembering. However, we may have certain questions that are of a modern nature that are not covered in ancient holy writings. Now some authors are doing their best to provide insights that may help Christians to navigate the treacherous waters of modern society, combining our ideals with practical modern application for doing good in a contemporary, technological world. There could never be a replacement for the Bible, but books like The Purpose-Driven Life, Pay it Forward, and Doing Good Works: Small Acts that Make a Big Difference supplement what we know with ideas for remaining hopeful and helpful in these times.

Spreading Goodwill – Sometimes it is easy for even the most good-hearted and devote of people to become caught up in the worries and fears of the world, and to turn inward, away from others. This, of course, is not the answer, and it is not the way of God. It is important to remember to spread goodwill at every opportunity, and this can be done without making you or your family vulnerable to crime or financial stress. Sometimes all it takes is to hear a few optimism quotes. In addition to books on proper religious thinking, books like Pay it Forward, Chicken Soup for the Soul, and Doing Good Works: Small Acts that Make a Big Difference help to bring our thinking back around to gratitude, service, and goodwill toward others.
