Pay It Forward
(or backwards)
at the movies!
When you go to the movies, you can pay for a ticket for the person behind you. You can let the person know what you have done, or let it be a mystery.
Andrea S. from Manhattan, MT wrote to us with this great idea:
“I loved paying for the senior couple behind us the other day in the movie line. It was about $9.00 per person and I bought for a husband and wife. I told the movie ticket person to tell the couple that they were the 1,000 customer and therefore their tickets were free. I often wonder if they ever paid it forward- I hope so because we all need random acts of kindness. They were so confused as to why they didn’t have to pay for tickets…I got great joy out of paying it “backwards,” but I’m not sure they got as much joy since they didn’t have a clue about what was going on. ”
Hats off to Andrea, her great idea, and her good works! She reinforces the concept that this is not about sacrifice or being a martyr. It’s about looking at changing the world as a matter of FUN, not as a chore. This is the attitude that makes a better world for everyone.
